Road 13, Chenin Blanc, Home Vineyard, Okanagan Valley, BC, 2009, 12.4% abv.

This was devoured quickly during a family get together in Whistler.

Clean and clear with an aggressive mousse that was still going strong well into our celebratory drink, this Chenin Blanc sparkling wine is pale gold with aromas of Granny Smith apple and Bartlett pear and green grapes.

Made in the traditional method, it spent 2 years on its lees.  The palate is evidence of this with more stone and tree fruit, a little lemon and a mid length toasty, biscuit finish.

A WSET Good sparkling wine.  Don’t lay down; enjoy now.
Should have bought more.
